These are just a few pictures from some of our jobs, to give a glimpse at what we can do for your bathroom!

Van Mall Custom Bathroom

This customer wanted to refresh their dated 1980’s bathroom. We started by removing the existing cast-iron tub and shower surround, never an easy task! Added new everything, toilet, custom vanity with backsplash, hexagonal tile floors, sliding shower doors, and new coat of paint.

Battle Ground Heated Cave

Our project started by ripping up the old subfloor and relocating the drainpipe for the shower. Then we added a custom shower pan and curb for river rock on the shower floor. The shower walls got slate rock with a large niche. Installed heated flooring and wood-patterned floor tile. A wave-pattern tile on the accent wall has an awesome effect when the backlit mirror is turned on. A new light was added to the shower, as well as new vent fan. Everything on this job was customized, from the soft-close shower door to the extra outlets installed under the vanity. This is one of my favorite projects we have done.

Hudson’s Bay Shower

We removed the tub in this bathroom and installed a prefabricated shower pan. Then added a large niche, tiled to the ceiling with a frame around the niche. Installed over-sized sliding glass doors, making this small bathroom feel like a much larger space.

Hidden House Shower

The Hidden Brick Company was founded in Vancouver in 1871 and was paramount in the early construction of the city and surrounding region. The company’s founder built himself a house out of his own bricks, which is where this shower replacement happened. The upstairs shower was leaking and in need of replacing; the current residents required grab bars and easier access to the shower valve. Every home has a story, but this one was a veritable time capsule of Vancouver’s history.

Cascade Park Tub and Tile

This project started with replacing the bathtub. Then we tiled to the ceiling with a beautiful marble-print tile and installed a new vent fan for this bathroom. We can do “one-day” re-baths, but these relatively quick tile jobs are much more satisfying in the end both for us as craftsmen and for the homeowners as the shower-takers.

“One Day Re-Bath”

Here is an example of a quick re-bath we did for a customer. This took 2 days, but we painted the whole bathroom, and I maintain that a proper shower valve replacement, shower surround install, and requisite trim, drywall and painting necessary is impossible to do in 1 day. “Two-day re-bath” doesn’t have the same ring to it, but we can do these kinds of re-baths efficiently cost-effectively!

Harney Bathroom

From the cast iron tub to the interior window, this bathroom was original to 1967. We replaced the tub, tiled to the ceiling with a niche, tiled the floor, rewired the whole bathroom, installed a custom vanity, and added new ventilation.

Shower Closet Conversion

We converted the closet in the front entrance of the house into a shower in the bedroom. This was definitely a unique situation, but we were able to pull it off and provide a master-bath shower where there were only cabinets before. We built a custom shower pan and curb, tiled up to the ceiling, around the curb, and the floor. Installed a new vanity, ceiling fan, and light above the shower. This was one of my favorite projects, as we were able to turn a customer’s vision into reality while problem solving unique architectural challenges.

Basement Bathroom

This bathroom was in the basement on a concrete slab. We installed laminate flooring, a custom shower curb with hexagon-tile, and vertical subway tile up the walls. We moved the plumbing from one side of the shower to the other to open the space up, as well as removed the vanity and installed a pedestal sink. New ventilation and lighting finished this basement bathroom up.

PDX Remodel on 1904 bathroom

We demo’ed the original lathe and plaster walls that were cracking and falling apart in this second-floor bathroom and replaced with smooth-sanded drywall. We upgraded the shower valve and ran a shower head into the ceiling. Installed a new heater. Tile surround the tub and niche, as well as on the slanted ceiling above the shower. Historic Portland homes always have a unique story to tell, and unique logistical challenges.
